Room Service Anyone?

Disney Cruise Line offers endless food options, all of which are included in your basic cruise cost. You can choose from the buffet, the eateries around the pool decks, the main dining rooms (each ship has 3 restaurants and you rotate your dinner location WITH your dining staff), and my personal favorite, room service. Nothing screams vacation like sitting on the verandah listening to the ocean, with an All Hands on Deck cheese plate (see above), a favorite beverage and a good book. Ahhh!

Room service is available 24 hours a day, up until 1:30am on your debarkation day. So, if you have a craving for a Mickey ice cream bar at 3am, you can get one, or two, or...😋. You will find the room service menu in the DCL app once you are on board the ship.

In the desk in your stateroom, you will find a "Good Morning" breakfast hanger. You can order a variety of continental breakfast items and choose your delivery time range between 5am and 9:30am. I have always found DCL to be incredibly accurate with the stated delivery time. Be sure to have your door hanger out by 3am in order to ensure delivery of your breakfast items.

This service is not available on debarkation day.

My family enjoys ordering our continental breakfast and enjoying it with a plate of savories that we bring back to our stateroom from the buffet. We then enjoy a quiet breakfast on our verandah.

Some pro tips:

• There are a few items not listed on the room service menu, but they are available. They include Mickey Ice Cream Bars, Smucker's Uncrustables (great to order and take off the ship for port adventures), and the DCL cake of the day. Make sure you order the Uncrustables with the wrappers still on so that you can take them off the ship.

• The coffee is served in a carafe that keeps it nice and warm. Before you go to bed, order a carafe of coffee. It will stay warm overnight and you can enjoy a cup of coffee while you get ready in the morning or while you watch the sunrise from your verandah.

• While you're ordering your evening carafe of coffee, order some warm cookies and milk for the kids to enjoy before bed.

• It is customary to tip the room service attendant at the time of delivery.
